The Rural Health Care Program of the Universal Service Administrative Company is responsible for ensuring that health care providers in rural areas obtain the benefits of Internet and current telecommunications technology. The FCC established this program so that rural health care providers pay no more than their urban counterparts pay for the same or similar services.
