PRIVATE NETWORKS FOR SCHOOLS AND LIBRARIES

E-Rate, or more precisely, the Schools and Libraries Universal Service Support Mechanism, provides discounts to assist most schools and libraries in the United States to obtain affordable telecommunications and Internet access.

Telespectra, in coordination with the FCC's Universal Service Fund, is using E-Rate to assist in bringing every school and library in the rural Southwest into the information age as it is well established that technology has great power to enhance education.

Through the use of E-Rate funds, schools and libraries in rural areas can acquire broadband Internet service for up to 90% discount.
